The Martyrs Walk - Take a walk through London in the footsteps of the English Martyrs, DVD, film

THE MARTYRS WALK
A FILM BY MARY'S DOWRY PRODUCTIONS 2008

In 2008, Mary's Dowry Productions participated in 'The Martyrs Walk', a yearly event in London that begins at Tower Hill. Pilgrims walk in the footsteps of many English Martyrs as they make their way through the historic streets of London to Tyburn Convent, the site of the infamous triple Tyburn Gallows where many English Catholics gave their lives for the outlawed Catholic Faith.

A DVD of the event is available with information, imagery, footage of the Martyrs Walk and a selection of biographies of various English Martyrs. The Martyrs Walk was the second DVD produced by Mary's Dowry Productions and celebrates 10 years this 2018, remaining one of our popular films, also regularly re-stocked in London and Sydney, Australia. This is a wonderful way to walk in spirit with the English Martyrs along the actual route that many of them took, dragged upon hurdles to the Tyburn gallows.

London is filled with our Catholic heritage, including sites of ancient Catholic churches. Most especially is the spot of the infamous Tyburn tree where many of our English Martyrs stood and witnessed to the Truths of our Catholic Faith.

The Martyrs Walk begins at Tower Hill, pausing at the very spot where Saints Thomas More and Saint John Fisher were beheaded for refusing to join King Henry VIII in schism. Tyburn Convent stands by the final destination of Saints such as Anne Line who worked with the Catholic underground in Elizabethan England, keeping secret safe houses for priests who were hunted by the government for celebrating the outlawed Catholic Mass, Sacraments and devotions.
