Mary's Dowry Productions has now been established over ten years, so we have decided to create this additional blog for a recap of all of our films now available. We have numerous films about the English Martyrs on DVD with more in production as of June 2018. Our website is currently being updated and we are busy promoting these great lives of our English heroes, as well as some of our well known and lesser known Saints of the Universal Church.

Our first DVD was Saint Philip Howard, the Earl of Arundel and we have worked our way enthusiastically through many members of the group known as the 40 Martyrs of England and Wales, all of which we have made available worldwide in all region formats on DVD through our online shops, as well as some on our Youtube channel.

SAINT RICHARD GWYN was born about 1537, at Llanidloes in Powys. He studied at both English universities, married and became a schoolmaster, teaching for 16 years at various places in Flintshire and Denbighshire. At a date unknown he was reconciled with the Church, and in a 'drive' against Catholic schoolmasters in 1580 he was arrested. For four years he was carried from jail to jail in chains, brought up at eight assizes, fined absurd sums, tortured. At times he solaced himself by writing verses, in his native Welsh; some of it has survived. THE MARTYRS WALK A FILM BY MARY'S DOWRY PRODUCTIONS 2008 In 2008, Mary's Dowry Productions participated in 'The Martyrs Walk', a yearly event in London that begins at Tower Hill. Pilgrims walk in the footsteps of many English Martyrs as they make their way through the historic streets of London to Tyburn Convent, the site of the infamous triple Tyburn Gallows where many English Catholics gave their lives for the outlawed Catholic Faith.
